Aspirin is a drug that belongs to a class of medications called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It can be used in the treatment of various cardiovascular and bleeding disorders. Besides these traditional uses, aspirin has some other, less known uses, which include:

#1 Infection Prevention

Aspirin can help prevent an insect bite from progressing to an infection. To prevent an infection, all you need to do is pour a grinded aspirin dissolved in one tablespoon of water on the area with the insect bite.

#2 Eliminating Dark Armpit

A mixture of two crushed aspirin tablets, dissolved in hot water and left to settle for an hour can help remove coloration of the armpit. Keep doing this until you get the desired result.

#11 Hormonal Changes

The variation of hormone levels, such as estrogen and progesterone, during pregnancy and menopause can cause water retention. To reduce the amount of water that your body retains, in addition to taking aspirin, you should avoid eating salt and foods that make you bloated.

#12 Dehydration

When you drink a little or no water, your body becomes dehydrated. A feedback mechanism of water retention is sent to the brain, to store water for cell survival and growth. Because aspirin is an anti-inflammatory drug, it can ease the symptoms of dehydration. Make sure to drink enough water, though.
