When the seasons change it’s only natural that our bodies respond to the change. But the responses may be different. For example, feeling weak and tired all the time or getting a constant cold is not something everyone would enjoy but what is there to be done?
First of all, you can take care of that vitamin deficiency of yours and pump yourself up with vitamins so that you look and feel healthy. Another question arises – how do you know that it is a simple vitamin deficiency?
The answer is simple – have a look in the mirror. In fact, that is what we are going to talk about – the most common signs of vitamin deficiency. If you think that something is completely out of the ordinary – you should consult your doctor first.
#1. Pale skin
Some people enjoy looking paler than the others, it makes them feel royal somehow. But if you are not naturally pale and your skin turns out like that closer to the end of winter you may be lacking vitamin B12. Gorge yourself on some more meat and seafood.
#2. Dry hair
If you find that your hair is unusually dry that may mean that vitamin B7 is lacking. That is why you should get off your diet if you are on one and enjoy meat, fish and vegetables for a while.
#3. Puffy eyes
This is a clear sign of a lack of iodine in the system. While you can’t simply stuff yourself with salt, you can include more seafood in your diet.
#4. Pale lips
A lack of iron in your system is usually visible via the absence of color in your lips. There is nothing to worry about, just eat more red meat and less calcium rich food.
#5. Bleeding gums
You may lack some vitamin C if your gums are bleeding. You can restore it by eating citrus fruit but you should also consult your dentist, just in case.
#6. Constant fatigue
If you are feeling constantly tired that may mean that you are lacking vitamin B12. Once again – more meat and more seafood.
