Getting older is inevitable, we all know that, but somehow no one is prepared for ageing. Time flies so fast that you barely notice you’ve turned 40. The first thing we do – is panic. We don’t blame you as we know how confusing everything gets. There is almost no way that your life will remain the same after you hit middle age.
That is why to prepare you, at least a little, for what it is like to be a 40-year old we have compiled a list of 6 things you should be ready for. No matter how special you are, these little things are about to happen, like it or not.
Since it is a lot easier to gain weight when you are closer to your forties you should be careful with what you eat. After you hit 40, going to gym once a week won’t help you get rid of the few pounds you picked up over the past two weeks. Keep that in mind.
#2 Who you are
By the time you get to 40 you already know who you are and what you want. This is not a bad thing. Get ready for doing what you want and not really caring what other people may think.
You will tend to forget some things and that is only normal. You are not in your twenties anymore, right? There is nothing to worry about if you go into a room and forget what you were there for.
Remember the time that you cared about anyone’s opinion? When you were younger? Well guess what? When you hit 40 you won’t care anymore.
When you look in the mirror and you see all those wrinkles, you’ll realize that your face is not flawless anymore. But is that a bad thing? Just imagine how much you have undergone over the past 40 years, it is only natural for experience to be shown on your face.
Middle age is a perfect time for priorities. It’ll seems that you haven’t been able to see things clearly before but now you do. Isn’t that just great?
