What they keep silent about, is the list of products you should avoid while on a thyroid-friendly diet, since if you keep consuming them, the results will leave much to be desired.
That is why we decided to list products you should avoid at all costs on a thyroid-friendly diet. Here they are:
#1 Raw greens
On a thyroid-friendly diet, you should consume only properly cooked green vegetables. All the raw and half-cooked ones should be crossed off of your menu, if you want to achieve some results.
Anything containing gluten is a huge ‘no’ for you when you are on a thyroid-friendly diet.
We know how hard it is to cut sugar out, but the less, the better is the case, if you are on a thyroid-friendly diet.
#4 Junk food
When it comes to junk food, there is rarely any diet, if any, that allows it. The thing is, that all processed foods and junk foods are extremely rich in sodium, but there is no iodine at all, which is why it is bad for you. Whether you’re on a thyroid-friendly diet or not, you should stay away from junk.
#5 Green tea
While many diets promote the use of green tea, the thyroid-friendly one should not contain any, keep that in mind.
Despite all of the products listed, if you aren’t sure if there is a special diet you must follow, you should consult your doctor. Do not rely on something you are not a 100% sure about!
